You should have already started a new ABACUS project. Now you will open a pre-configured catalogue.

A catalogue allows you to view and edit components or connections and their properties in a simple tabular way. Whether you are entering strategy, business, application, data or technology information, catalogues are a powerful and easy way to manage the elements within your repository. While these steps take advantage of a pre-configured catalogue, you could alternatively create a new catalogue.

Step-by-Step Walk-Through

  1. To create a catalogue, [click] on the catalogues button in the toolbar and select Production (As-Is) | Application | Applications (Recommendation). The catalogue will display components of the type ‘Application’ in the ‘Production (As-Is)’ architecture. Since you do not have any Applications in your model, your catalogue will be empty
